Fabulous Easter finds! NOW is the time to buy goodies for Easter! I don't mean candy but if you want Easter decorations, cards, baskets or eggs now is the time to shop. You can even buy egg dye now and it will still be fine next year! I got the cutest kitchen towel set at Kohl's for $2.49 for a four piece set. I will be so excited when I open my Easter tote next year and find new towels! This is also a great time to pick up candy molds or decorative items you just won't buy at normal price. Prices will continue to go down but if you see something you LOVE don't wait it may disappear!

Frugal Finds from Monday

Monday was a great day for frugal finds. I went to CVS! I know I should go more often because I always find something I was not expecting.
I was afraid all the Pantene Shampoo would be gone but it was not! I got three bottles. They were on sale for $2.99. I had three coupons for $2. off and each bottle gave me a $1.00 in extra bucks. That made each bottle free! I normally would not get three but they allowed three in the extra bucks rewards and shampoo is something we can always use and share. It does not go bad.
I also got a pack of Stride Shift gum. My son really wanted some gum so he agreed to try Stride Shift since it was $.99 with $.99 in Extra Bucks making it free. He LOVES it. He even asked his dad to try it.
I picked up some other good deals including PowerAde Zero for my dear hubby who has decided to diet during baseball season, canned veggies in the bargin buggy for $.50 each, Dawn Dishwashing liquid for $.96 and candy bars for $.50. I love using candy bars to teach fractions.
My last great deal at CVS was Claritin. Spring has sprung and my family is suffering from allergies. This deal was not an advertised deal. The CVS I like to go to almost always has a buggy in the front of the store with items marked down on clearance. I always find great deals. This may have been the best. They had Claritin Liqui-Gels 40 ct for $8.18! That is $24.51 off the normal price. The don"t expire until 10/10. I got two boxes for me and one for a friend.
It was a great quick trip. The trip summary on my reciept says I saved $96.43. That is more than twice what I spent on items I needed! Yeah me!
Let me know if you have some fabulous frugal finds.

Joy of Spring

Today was such a beautiful day. It was not perfect but I seldom strive for perfection. I know that there is joy in the journey. I am, at this moment, enjoying the journey.
It appears that Spring has finally arrived. I LOVE Spring. It is so full of life. Everything is beautiful and new. Flowers are blooming, the sun is shining and it is baseball season. I think baseball is my favorite sport. My youngest son loves baseball, even if his team loses! He is growing so fast. I know that I must savor every moment.
It is also Easter week. Easter is my favorite holy day. My soul is filled with joy when I think of how much Christ loves us, loves me. He died a horrible death that I might live. He loves me more than I love my children. My heart overflows. I want to love Him more. The joy is not in the death but in the fact that He lives. He has victory over death and through Him we can too! Spring reminds me of His resurrection and our rebirth.
Sometimes, when I am so filled with joy, I am afraid. I worry that something may go wrong but for now am not afraid. I am filled with love and happiness. I am thrilled to my soul.
